DAYTON, OH (January 31, 2020) –Spring Hills Singing Woods Assisted Living is proud to announce that they earned the industry-respected designation of “deficiency free” when they were found to be in 100 percent compliance with state requirements from the Ohio Department of Health (ODH). The state conducts this survey annually and scores senior care facilities based on several criteria to assess resident care and resident safety. The criteria include policies and procedures, resident care, quality of care and quality of life, medication administrative, staff competencies, equipment safety, and much more.
The Ohio Assisted Living Association (OALA), which represents the largest number of residential care facilities in the state, further recognized the achievement of Spring Hills Singing Woods for promoting excellence in senior care options. Jean B. Thompson, Executive Director OALA, has awarded Spring Hills Singing Woods a certificate of commendation and said, “Every year we survey nursing homes around the state of Ohio to provide families with a list of facilities they can trust. It is not easy to receive a deficiency free rating. The facilities honored with this achievement work hard and have true concerns for their residents every day. Spring Hills Singing Woods continues to provide the best care and should be proud of their accomplishment.”
Deirdre Middlestetter, Executive Director of Spring Hills Singing Woods, commented on the dedication it takes to be “deficiency free”, “Our staff works tirelessly to provide the best care to our residents. We are honored to receive this designation. It shows that our hard work does not go unnoticed.
