We started working with Spring Hills Home Health Care when our Father, 90 years old, fell and broke his wrist. He was in the hospital for a few days and then went to a physical rehab center to regain his strength. He lives in an assisted living facility but we thought he might need some extra help once he got back home, to “get back in the swing” of things. The team from Spring Hills has been amazing!!! They met with us explained all the services they offer and we started with the 72 hour continuous care program. They attended the discharge planning meeting at the rehab facility, they escorted Dad back to his apartment and stayed with him round the clock for the first 3 days. The staff was continually checking in with us and our Dad and nothing fell through the cracks. We would not have been able to manage the “maze” of doctors, therapists evaluations etc. without them. They have been available day and night and the level of comfort that brings cannot be measured. We highly recommend their services. Bottom line, they do what they say they are going to do and we sleep better at night knowing our Dad is being taken care of.
Hello - as Kimmel & Jeanette Strayton's daughter, I just wanted to thank you & your staff from the bottom of my heart for your support, patience & expertise in transitioning my dad into his new home. This was a difficult step for our family but one we knew was necessary - for both my mom & my dad. And you all have been nothing but wonderful - welcoming not only my dad but our entire family and facilitating his move in such a way that was more successful than we could have imagined. So many thanks & our complete gratitude goes out to you & the Spring Hills staff -- your team has made us all feel safe & well-cared for...and we are at peace knowing our dad is in good hands with his new family of caregivers. Thank you, all!
Dear Sanjay and StaffIt is with heartfelt appreciation and great respect that I write this note of thanks to the Springhills community. Jerry and I, Kara and Ryan and Josh and Shannon want you all to know how appreciative we are for the love and caring provided to our father, father-in-law and grandfather, Larry Rubin over the last weeks of his life.We have always felt that Springhills was a special place, but during the last several months and weeks our experience exceeded all expectations. Our thanks to the caregivers assigned to my dad, in particular to Rosa, Shawnique, and Shareeda who insured that he was comfortable and clean and that the room he shared with my mom was neat and inviting. His nurses Pauline, Susan, and Maria provided the necessary nursing care and medication to insure that his last days were peaceful and without pain. In addition, the coordinated efforts between the Springhills staff and Samaritan Hospice insured that my dad's care was round the clock and without interruption. And certainly they were all conscious of my mother's needs and how she was responding to my dad's situation. In the dining room Lashanda and John worked together to assist my mom when ordering meals and they watched for signs that she may not have been delighted with a meal selection. When that occurred they consistently tried something else. Many times they suggested to me what she might like to eat. And of course my mom's caregivers continued to provide her with loving care she has always received from the Spring hills staff. And of course we are grateful to Suzette at the front desk and all the wonderful guys downstairs. John, Phil, Bob and Dave always had a good word for my dad and for Jerry and I whenever we visited. My dad always talked about "his guys downstairs".When adult children become responsible for the selection of an assisted living community for their parent(s) it can become enormously stressful and confusing. The choices are quite varied and consideration must be given to a wide variety of factors and needs. Jerry and I looked at 13 different communities is 3 states before settling on Spring hills. The Rubin's joined the community in April 2014 and over the last almost three years we continue to feel that we made the best decision for them and for us. During this time we have had to meet many times with both Eriol and Sanjay to work out important issues as needs and circumstances changed. Jerry and I always felt that my parents' care was a partnership. Regardless of the issues we were confident that we would be able to come to consensus because meeting the needs of my parents was always the priority. Not only for us, but for them as well. "The concierge staff, Michele and Francesca along with Maureen welcomed both my parents into activities and were able to skillfully include each of them beautifully. I never felt that their dignity was compromised, even when the activity may have surpassed their ability level. And a special shout out to Brian for the remarkable job he does with celebrations and special events. Our children and grandchildren always look forward to coming for these family events. And of course a huge thank you to Kevin and his staff. Needless to say there have been many times when their assistance with cleaning and "sprucing up" was enormously important. We all know that the rooms in an assisted living community can sometimes take quite a beating. Kevin's attention to those needs insured that when we walked into my ...

Before I started the Wellness Program I would get out of breath very quickly when I walked.  Having gone through the program for 6 months, I am now comfortable walking over a mile at a time, and enjoy being outdoors listening to the birds, experiencing the weather, and being a part of nature. Not only has my stamina improved, but I feel more energized on a day to day basis.  This has made a huge impact on my life and I’m just so happy to have had the opportunity to work with Nick.  He is very supportive and always encourages me to push myself.  I’m also grateful for the opportunity to continue this wonderful program.

Nick has been working with Charlie since September of 2016. The results have been dramatic. Charlie could barely walk around the house one time. He now does 10 laps easily. His posture has improved and his gait has also improved. Recently we have also noticed an improvement in his sugar levels and his stamina. Nick’s friendly personality makes these sessions very enjoyable for Charlie. We feel very fortunate to have Nick working with Charlie and are extremely happy with the results.

Thank you to the staff at Spring Hills Middletown! Christmas was unusually tough this year, but watching you care for and have fun with the residents made me aware, again, of why I chose Spring Hills Middletown for Glen's Care. Derrick produced a wonderful evening meal for all of us Christmas Day. The meat was tender, the sweet potato casserole was delicious and the dressing was perfect... and everything was piping hot when it was served! He takes pride in "doing it right". The servers were wonderful and all of them were serving us and away from their own families on Christmas Day. Not one grumble from any of them, but lots of 'having fun' as Derrick interacted with everyone in the dining hall and bid them all a goodnight with the promise of having their breakfasts ready the following morning. Watching him with his Santa hat on, calling each of them by name as they left for their rooms, brought tears to my eyes. How blessed we are to have such devoted people take care of our loved ones. Maybe Derrick is the REAL Santa! Tonight I sat with Glen at dinner and witnessed the same thing. Spring Chapman was so helpful in guiding some of the residents in deciding what they would select for their meal. She remembered what each had ordered for lunch so she encouraged other choices for dinner. What a pleasant young lady, smiling all the while she traveled from table to kitchen and kitchen to table The kitchen staff had the plates ready in short order and the food was served, again piping hot. Derrick had it under control and again, made everyone feel special.  I feel sure all of them had New Year plans but we did not feel like we were being rushed out! Thanks to the nurses, caregivers, Carol, Derrick, Spring and kitchen staff for making our residents feel at home and like one big family. This is the greatest gift, ever! A big thank you for the personal Christmas gifts given to all residents. The scarf is beautiful and will come in handy for the cold weather when Glen has to go out to the doctor's appointments. The trees were absolutely gorgeous and set the tone when entering Spring Hills. Bonnie has a crew of artists! Spring Hills Middletown is far above the average facility and it is due to the above average staff working here. My New Year's wish is to clone all of them! Blessings to you in 2017!

Spring Hills Home Care has been providing home care for my Dad for over a year now.  It was initially a difficult decision to bring someone into my parents home that we didn't know to provide care for them.  However we quickly realized that the care providers from Spring Hills were not only professional and excellent at their job but that they were caring, kind and trustworthy.  It has felt like a partnership between our family and Spring Hills to make sure that my Dad's needs are met.  This has been especially important as his needs have changed over time.  I would not hesitate to recommend Spring Hills Home Care to anyone who needs help caring for a loved one.

After spending an afternoon with Dad, Dale said to me, “My Mom is missing out on these things.” Dale’s Mom lives with his sister. She takes great care of her but its different when someone else manages an elders care. The different fun things planned are so beneficial for elder care. It’s not just about fun. There are skills that are reinforced to keep their minds going. With the exception of a few issues Dad has, his health is much better than it was 2 years ago. Thanks to all the members of the Spring Hills team and what they do to make Dad’s life better. - Jean
Dear Mr. Markowits,My mother, Mary Schoeffler, is a resident at Spring Hills, Morristown. Last Thursday, my family and I attended the annual Christmas party for our third year. I wanted to take this opportunity to commend the excellent job that Karen Griffths and her staff are doing for the residents. Everyone from the front desk to the Wellness Center, the aides, dining staff, and maintenance crew are friendly and helpful. As important as that is, the thing that means the most to me, is the respect and dignity that everyone on staff shows the residents, They are regarded as a community of seniors whose thoughts and feelings still matter. As a frequent visitor, I am able to see this first hand and appreciate it. My mom came to Spring Hills when she was 97; she will be 100 in February. It was difficult for her to leave her home for assisted living; however, the sensitivity and understanding that she was shown made the transition so much easier for her and me.Spring Hills, Morristown, is a warm and welcoming home for the seniors who live there. That is a tribute to Karen and her staff who I commend and thank.
